I am currently working on my PhD in Transpersonal Psychology. (If you would be interested in participating in my research on The Spiritual Purpose of Families, please contact me.) I received an M.A. in Transpersonal Psychology from Sophia University (previously the Instiitute for Transpersonal Psychology) in 2005 with emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy, Art Therapy, Body Movement Therapy, Family Patterns, Visualization, Self-Interview Therapy, and Holistic Counseling. I received my B.A. in Psychology with a Women's Studies minor in 2001 and graduated on the Dean's List from San Jose State University. I have over thirty years experience working with adults in a variety of settings. I received my Certificate in Hypnotherapy from the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy in 2014. My hypnotherapy training is in Advanced Hypnotherapy, Ericksonian Hypnosis, Past Life Regression, Childhood Regression, and Clinical Hypnotherapy.

My counseling style is direct, with an emphasis on going into the deeper aspects of ourselves, i.e. the subconscious, for the answers to our problems. I use short-term therapy to help you find the answers to your problems and get on with your life, strength therapy to help you realize and value the strengths you possess, and positive psychology to help you identify the positive aspects of you and your life experience. Our work is collaborative. You are the Orchestrator of your life, whether you realize it or not. That’s good news, because it means you can change your life and live it more in line with your true self, and not the false self you created to “get by” in this world.
